When people consider hiring our firm one of the most important considerations is the cost of our services. Though all legal matters are different, we try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our fees.
The following are the types of cases we accept and how we charge for each
|Initial Consult||Full Representation||DIY Product|
|Tenants in foreclosed properties||Free||Contingency*|
*A contingency fee means we are paid from the money we recover from the other party.
Chicago Tenants’ Rights
We offer legal services in a very limited range of tenants rights cases. Though there is a huge need for broader representation, we are unable to take cases that do not fall into one of the following areas:
- Security deposit claims
- Keep Chicago Renting claims (tenants in foreclosed properties)
Though the types of cases we handle are limited, we have a large referral network. Click here to request a referral.
Personal injury claims are always handled on contingency. This means that we are paid from recovery and if there is no recovery, there is no fee. The fee for a personal injury claim is almost always 1/3 of the gross recovery. Consultations for personal injury matters are free.
Pro Bono/Free Representation
We are a for-profit law firm and work to support our families and pay our bills. Unfortunately, we do not offer free representation though our firm. If you are unable to pay and your case does not fall under one of the categories where we are paid from recovery, consider contacting one of the legal aid organizations below (Cook County only):
Legal Aid Society
Legal Assistance Foundation
Metropolitan Tenants Organization
Personal Injury - Handle with care
Andy took care of my case against two individuals, where one was a lot more at fault than the other. Basically a friend and I were walking down a street in downtown Chicago when a Porsche ran the light, a Range Rover went on his green light, and they struck each other in the intersection, then heading for us - where we were on foot. I wound up with swollen legs and the inability to walk for a couple weeks, but thankfully I lived. (As did my friend, but with worse injuries). Andy took our case for us and handled it with aplomb and professionalism. It's a hard thing to deal with - the reality that, had a street pole not been there, I would be dead. It's good to have someone like Andy on your side, fighting for your restitution and welfare. That being said, I would have liked to see the party responsible go to jail. But that's another story for Chicago's political corruption.
