When people consider hiring our firm one of the most important considerations is the cost of our services. Though all legal matters are different, we try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to our fees.
The following are the types of cases we accept and how we charge for each
|Initial Consult||Full Representation||DIY Product|
|Tenants in foreclosed properties||Free||Contingency*|
*A contingency fee means we are paid from the money we recover from the other party.
Chicago Tenants’ Rights
We offer legal services in a very limited range of tenants rights cases. Though there is a huge need for broader representation, we are unable to take cases that do not fall into one of the following areas:
- Security deposit claims
- Keep Chicago Renting claims (tenants in foreclosed properties)
Though the types of cases we handle are limited, we have a large referral network. Click here to request a referral.
Personal injury claims are always handled on contingency. This means that we are paid from recovery and if there is no recovery, there is no fee. The fee for a personal injury claim is almost always 1/3 of the gross recovery. Consultations for personal injury matters are free.
Pro Bono/Free Representation
We are a for-profit law firm and work to support our families and pay our bills. Unfortunately, we do not offer free representation though our firm. If you are unable to pay and your case does not fall under one of the categories where we are paid from recovery, consider contacting one of the legal aid organizations below (Cook County only):
Legal Aid Society
Legal Assistance Foundation

“My Landlord Tried To Take Advantage of Me, But My Attorney Empowered Me.”
I had never used an attorney for anything before this experience. I had always been wary of lawyers, but unfortunately, I was faced with a situation in which I thought contacting an attorney would be my best option. From the very first time we talked, Andy really made me feel at ease. He listened to what I had to say, and asked me what result I wanted before giving me his take and advice. At the beginning of this experience, honestly, I was intimidated and afraid that I would end up having to pay a lot of money for an unjust reason. But as Andy worked on my case with me, I began to feel empowered, and at the end of it all, I ended up asking for what I was originally too afraid to ask for, and getting it. Andy made me aware of many things in the law that I never saw (despite the hours of research I did on my own previously). Andy is very responsive; I never had to wait very long for a response, no matter what time it was. He is very knowledgeable about landlord/tenant law, and he never had a problem explaining things that I didn't understand. I would not hesitate to retain Andy's services again, or to recommend his services to anyone I know.
