Practice
Andy Brabender's legal practice focuses on representing Cook County tenants who need help with recovering a security deposit or breaking a lease. He also helps people with their estate planning needs, assists estate representatives with probate matters, and aids victims of accidents and predatory practices in achieving fair compensation.
Unlike most attorneys, who spend their days working for massive corporations, Andy's entire legal career has involved helping ordinary people understand and resolve their most critical legal problems. Additionally, most of his clients have no previous experience working with a lawyer. He takes great pride in setting them at ease and proving that working with an attorney doesn't need to be scary.
Andy founded his firm, Brabender Law LLC, more than a decade ago. Since then, he has consulted with thousands of tenants and recovered more than one million dollars from dishonest landlords. He has also forced negligent parties to compensate victims for their injuries, helped people plan for their futures, and guided families following the loss of a loved one.
Prior to launching his own practice, Andy was an injury attorney at the Cochran Firm's Chicago office. While there, he helped recover millions of dollars for victims and their families. Before that, he was a judicial extern for Hon. Rebecca Pallmeyer, who currently serves as the chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Andy grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, attended high school in central Wisconsin, and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire with a degree in criminal justice. He then received his juris doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law with high honors and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.
When he isn't helping people resolve their legal issues, Andy enjoys spending time in nature with his wife and young sons.
